Mission & Goals
ILADS is a nonprofit, international, multidisciplinary medical society dedicated to the appropriate diagnosis and treatment of Lyme and associated diseases. ILADS promotes understanding of Lyme and associated diseases through research, education and policy. We strongly support physicians, scientists, researchers and other healthcare professionals dedicated to advancing the standard of care for Lyme and associated diseases.
ILADS’ Strategic Goals are to:
- Improve physician and healthcare provider understanding of Lyme and associated diseases;
- Review, develop and implement clinical research programs that enhance the management of Lyme and associated diseases;
- Advance the standards of care for Lyme and associated diseases; and
- Review, develop and implement programs, including educational materials and protocols, to support healthcare providers in treating Lyme and associated diseases.
