Dr. Melanie Stein is a licensed Naturopathic Physician and founder of Restorative Health Clinic of Portland, Oregon. She holds a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and a Master's in Acupuncture from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), and is both a Dr. Shoemaker Proficiency Partner and a Dr. Goodenowe Certified Practitioner.

Dr. Stein specializes in complex chronic illness, focusing clinically on Cell Membrane Therapy and the Cell Danger Response as a framework for understanding why the body stays stuck even when the right protocols are in place. She works with patients navigating chronic Lyme disease, co-infections, mold toxicity, CIRS, MCAS, POTS, and chronic fatigue, many of whom have been dismissed or told their labs are normal despite ongoing symptoms.

Her path into this work is deeply personal. During naturopathic school, she woke up completely paralyzed, was dismissed by physicians with a conversion disorder diagnosis, and eventually identified the root cause herself: chronic Lyme disease and multiple co-infections. That experience shapes everything about how she shows up for her patients today.
